This is a true story learnt by a team of Thinker Star during a trip to Malanje, Angola, West Africa.

In a small village surrounded by tall grass, dozens of small houses made of mud can be faintly seen. Here we met a local couple with dark skin. Their heads become sweaty in the scorching sun, with sweat beads dripping down the neck and drenching the short-sleeved chest.

The father walked in front, carrying a little girl with long pigtails, and the mother held a little boy over one year old in her arms. A boy followed, carrying a small wooden box in his hand. The red short sleeves on his body looked a little oversized, and he trotted all the way behind the adults, looking particularly conspicuous.

They stopped under several bread trees more than 10 meters high, and the father squatted down in the shade and put the girl down. Due to the hot weather, we asked the driver to park the car in the shade. About ten minutes later, came a blue Toyota shuttle minivan carrying passengers. The child staggered into the car, and the child's father handed a wooden tool box to the boy. Just then, the child's mother burst into tears, tears in her eyes dripping on the forehead of the boy in her arms. When the minivan was gone, the mother started to cry.

Our driver took some tissues from the car and walked forward. After communicating with the child's father, he learnt that the couple had accumulated money for more than half a year at home, and today finally bought a ticket for their eldest son Antonio to Luanda. Since the family was already destitute, going to the capital may be an opportunity for the child to change his destiny.

There, Antonio would go through a life and death test. The 7-year-old boy, wearing red short sleeves, would survive by polishing shoes. In Luanda, 7-year-old Antonio had no relatives and friends, and could only sleep on the streets at night. The difficulties and unknown dangers of life could only be faced alone.

In Africa, little boys like Antonio are countless, and their lives are unknown. A ticket changing their destiny was the most dangerous jump in their lives.
